Dr. Prehogan

Dr. Harris Prehogan

Dr. Prehogan obtained his B. Sc. from McGill University in 2003 and his DMD from the Boston University Goldman School of Dental Medicine in 2007.

He discovered his lifelong enthusiasm for dentistry when he volunteered at his family dentist’s office as a young child, helping them to sterilize instruments and greet patients. After earning his DMD, he returned to Ottawa to start working in private practice, which led to the establishment of his dream practice in Downtown Ottawa today.

Dr. Prehogan is a staunch believer in lifelong learning and continued education. One of his most recent certifications is CEREC (Chairside Economical Restorations of Esthetic Ceramics). Using CAD CAM (Computer Aided Construct/Computer Assisted Manufacturing) to design a tooth (crown and partial crown), he can provide one-visit dentistry to his patients without the need for impressions or temporary crowns.

Dr. Prehogan believes that relationships are at the heart of his profession and his patient-centred approach enables him to develop relationships and trust to work towards a common treatment goal. He is an active member of the Ottawa Dental Society Emergency Service and the Ontario Dental Association. He is also a member of several study clubs including CEREC Doctors, which is an online learning tool for CEREC users.
