Dr. Harris Prehogan
About
Dr. Prehogan received his DMD from the Boston University Goldman School of Dental Medicine in 2007, and his B.Sc from McGill University in 2003.
His lifelong passion has been dentistry and he realized that at a very young age when he helped out at his family dentist’s office helping to sterilize instruments and welcome patients. After earning his DMD, he moved back home to Ottawa to begin working in private practice and has culminated today in building his dream practice in Downtown Ottawa.
Dr. Prehogan is a firm believer in continuing education and lifelong learning. His most recent qualifications include CEREC (chairside economical restorations of esthetic ceramics). This technology allows him to offer single visit dentistry to his patients using CAD CAM (computer aided design/ computer assisted manufacturing) to design a tooth (crown and partial crown) without impressions and temporary crowns involved.
Dr. Prehogan enjoys all aspects of General Dentistry including restorative, endodontics (root canals), periodontics, orthodontics (Invisalign braces) and Implantology. He believes that his profession is truly about relationships and his patient centered approach allows him build trust and relationships to work towards a common treatment goal.
Dr. Prehogan is an active member of the Ottawa Dental Society Emergency Service and the Ontario Dental Association . He is also a member of several study clubs including Cerec Doctors, which is an online learning tool for CEREC users.
